On 20.05.2025, the auspicious foundation stone–laying and relic deposition ceremony for the proposed new monks’ medical building at the Buddha Shravaka Surakshitha Center was held with great splendor.
The ceremony was graced by the Chief Sanghanayaka of Malaysia, Most Venerable Bootawatte Sri Saranankara Nayaka Maha Thero, along with a Malaysian delegation and many distinguished guests.
A special highlight of the event was the enshrinement of the relic casket into the foundation, carried by Kaduweera Hasthiya of Sankapitti Viharaya, Kaduwela.
With the generous support and contributions of many devotees, this noble duty was successfully fulfilled. On this occasion, heartfelt merit-sharing blessings were extended to all the devotees from Padukka, Homagama, Nugegoda, and surrounding areas who offered their devoted assistance
