On 21.05.2025, our Buddha Shravaka Surakshitha Center held a great meritorious ceremony at the Araliyagaha Mandiraya, Colombo, where 60 university-educated monks were presented with Electronic Tripitaka (TABs) and three sets of Tripitaka books were donated to three remote temples.
The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Sanghanayaka of Malaysia, Most Venerable Bootawatte Sri Saranankara Nayaka Maha Thero, along with a group of Malaysian devotees, and from the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka – Hon. Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, Hon. Speaker Jagath Wickramarathna, Hon. Deputy Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs Sunil Watagala, Hon. Member of Parliament Devananda Suraveera, as well as many devoted supporters from Kotte, Padukka, Homagama, and Kottawa areas, who are active members of our Center.
We believe this is a great foundation for the young monks, who are moving forward in life with technology, to make their educational pursuits easier.
