Caring Centre
In accordance to Buddha’s preaching’s, Buddha Shrawaka Caring Centre is being built for monks and nuns who are suffering from cancer.

Buddha Shrawaka Caring Centre
We are proud to mention that the Buddha shravaka Caring Center is the first multi- religious caring centre in Sri Lanka to be built for cancer-stricken monks, nuns and other religious leaders.
It is well known to everyone that cancer is currently affecting a large number of Sri Lankans. Hence, the number of deaths are also very high, due to the limited number resources and hospital space. However, it is very noble of the donors who are currently contributing towards the Maharagama Apeksha hospital for it’s resources. It is no secret that there are monks and nuns among these cancer patients.
In accordance to Buddha’s preaching’s, Buddha Shrawaka Caring Centre is being built for monks and nuns who are suffering from cancer. It is not a new experience to see buildings being built for monks and nuns in our country. There are remains of hospitals built by ancient kings at the Abhayagiri Temple in Anuradhapura and Mihintale Temple which can be still be seen today.
In order to build the caring center in Padukka, we have used the ancient hospital plans and architecture of the Abhayagiri Vihara.

Building Structure of the Caring Centre
BSCC is located at 109/1 , Samagipura, Angamuwa, Padukka, about twenty one kilometers away from Maharagama Hospital and in order to legally register under the government it is estimated that the construction of this center will cost 880 million rupees. Thus BSCC will be aiming of providing financial and mental support to all religious leaders for centuries to come. It is our ultimate goal to build this center and to complete construction within five years and make it a service center.

Contribution for the Construction
BSCC will be aiming of providing financial and mental support to all religious leaders for centuries to come. It is our ultimate goal to build this center and to complete construction within five years and make it a service center. It is estimated that the construction of this center will cost 880 million rupees.
However, we are currently facing the challenge of finding the necessary funds. We have proposed five-year contribution fund from Sri Lankans and internationl donors.
